MŠK Žilina

MŠK Žilina – Seventime champion of Slovakia and the only Slovak team that played in the Champions League group and UEFA Cup group (Today’s European League). In addition to achieved achievements, we are proud of our homegrown players from Academy of MŠK Žilina who are increasingly coming to the fore on the European football map. Names like Milan Škriniar, Marek Mintál, Martin Dúbravka, Tomáš Hubočan, Peter Pekarík and many more successfully represent the brand MŠK abroad. The uniqueness and importance of linking the first team and the academy only underlines homegrown players match in 2019, when we succeeded in a unique deed. We played match in the Slovak league with a team composed exclusively from players from Academy of MŠK Žilina. Our work with young players just underlines the fact that in the season 2020/2021 we had the second youngest team all over the Europe. The importance of the MŠK Žilina Academy has also confirmed other valuable and memorable statistics -homegrown players of MŠK Žilina played most minutes in league match among 419 clubs all over the Europe.
