Research & Analysis – good practices identification, vulnerability and risk assessment (WP2)
This activity (work package) is a foundation for all further activities within the project as it focuses on analysing needs of sport facilities in area of CBRN safety. All other activities will be based on research and analysis conclusions. In details the activity cover survey with stadium employees form EU countries, analysis and selection of good practices within desk study research, elaboration of sample CBRN scenarios and performing study visit at sport facilities. The results will cover:
- Templates for conducting analysis, surveys, vulnerability and risk assessment
- Good practices collection based on desk research
- Reports from study visits focused on CBRN safety (6 in total)
- Overall report summarising needs as well as good practices in the area of CBRN safety
System solutions – Procedures, tools, plans and guidelines (WP4)
This activity aims to facilitate the personnel responsible for the security of a sports facilities with a comprehensive set of tools and templates, procedures, cooperation protocols to improve the capabilities to prevent, detect, respond and manage consequences of the CBRN incident. The elements of the system are addressed to the security coordinators, however, due to flexible structure, the whole set of documents and tools might be useful to other stakeholders, like private security companies, international and national sports associations’ officials in charge of security. The results will cover:
- CBRN procedures, tools, plans and guidelines
- Evacuation and crowd management guidebook
- CBRN-MED for sport facilities
- Guidelines for recovering the facility after CBRN act
System solutions – infrastructure, ICT, equipment (WP5)
The objective of the WP is to enhance the CBRN protection of sports facilities through improvement of infrastructure, ICT and equipment. In the area of infrastructure and physical protection project experts will prepare recommendations for changes in architecture and infrastructure to be considered in designing or redeveloping facilities. These recommendations will be drafted in line with the principles of security in design to mitigate the impact of CBRN terrorist attacks. In the area of ICT and equipment the project will analyse solution available on the market taking into account their efficiency, availability and price-quality ratio. The results will cover:
- Guide to evaluate and improve sport facilities infrastructure
- ICT solutions analysis applicable for sports facilities
- Manual to define the needs of detection and protection equipment on site in mass events
Training materials and eLearning platform (WP6)
This activity focuses on providing flexible training scheme, addressed to staff responsible for security in the objects, but also to staff of national and international organizations. The training will be prepared in a very flexible way in order to be applicable to initial or refreshing schemes. The training programme will be available in three modes: (1) training curriculum supplemented with trainer’s book and trainee booklets for regular training; (2) eLearning course combined with VR simulations and (3) blended learning. The results will cover:

System for an epidemiological enquiry (WP7)
The main objectives of this work package is to improve the people’s safety by reducing sport facilities vulnerability while facing intentional or natural biological threat. The WP activities will focus on Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) with clearly identify roles and responsibilities of all stadium services. Furthermore, the models of infectious disease spreading will be prepared, which will help to predict the disease spreading paths and improve the public service response. The results will cover:
